The cause of a factory fire in Derrimut on Tuesday morning will be investigated by police.
Fire Rescue Victoria received several calls about a first on Calarco Drive at 5.28am.
Crews arrived on scene within five minutes to find smoke and flames issuing from the office space of the large factory, so the response was escalated.
A search of the factory was conducted and there were no occupants.
The fire was deemed under control by 6.20am and was contained to the office space.
The cause of the fire is not yet known but it will be investigated by Vicpol Arson specialists.
Firefighters will remain on scene for some time, to ensure the fire is fully extinguished.
