The EPA have sent out a warning to residents of St Albans, Kealba and Keilor residents as they are currently experiencing increased odour.
Spotfire burning under ground in the tip are causing the odour.
EPA is performing additional air monitoring in the area as a consequence.
Wind forecasts for the next few days are predominantly from the south.
The announcement by the EPA was made on Friday April 1.
