Drunk driver crashes in Sunshine

A Sunshine man driving five times over the legal limit was lucky to escape injury after driving his vehicle into parked cars last night.

The incident occurred just before 7pm last night at the corner of Bradley and Phoenix Streets, Sunshine North.

Police attended the scene and the 29-year old driver was taken to Sunshine police station where he returned a breath test reading of 0.259%.

His licence was immediately suspended and he is expected to be charged on summons with drink driving related offences.
