Drugs seized

A St Albans man has been charged following a routine interception uncovered a large quantity of drugs.

Police patrolling in St Albans about 7pm on September 30 when they intercepted a vehicle on Vincent Avenue.

A subsequent search of the car uncovered an alleged large commercial quantity of Methylamphetamines, MDMA, ammunition, imitation firearms, a pistol and firearms parts.

The driver, a 41-year-old man, was arrested and further search warrants were executed at properties in Cairnlea and St Albans where police located approximately $300,000 in cash.

The man has been charged with trafficking commercial quantity methyl amphetamine, trafficking MDMA, possess handgun, possess cartridge ammunition, possess prohibited weapon and possess imitation firearm.
