Drugs, cash seized in Deer Park raid

Police have arrested and charged two women and seized a large quantity of drugs, cash and weapons during a raid in Deer Park yesterday.

Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit detectives uncovered a commercial quantity of heroin, cash and four conducted-energy devices when they executed a search warrant at a Leighton Crescent property as part of Operation Cutline.

A 57-year old Deer Park woman was arrested and has been charged with trafficking a drug of dependence – commercial quantity and possessing proceeds of crime.

A 27-year old Deer Park woman was arrested and has been charged with trafficking a drug of dependence – commercial quantity, possessing proceeds of crime, and possessing prohibited weapons.

Both women faced an after-hours bail hearing and have been remanded to appear at the Melbourne Magistrate’s Court today.

A 21-year old Deer Park woman was also arrested and released without charge.
