Almost a dozen arrests have been made across the north west today after an extended investigation into alleged drug and firearms trafficking.
Eleven people were arrested after warrants were executed in Sunshine, Keilor, Fawkner, Campbellfield, Brunswick West, Coburg, Pascoe Vale and Hadfield.
A 36-year-old Sunshine man and a 53-year-old Keilor man were among those arrested.
Detectives seized 11 firearms including handguns, about 1 kilogram of methylamphetamine, two ballistic vests, tasers, swords, allegedly stolen property, more than $190,000 cash and an Audi R8 after executing nine warrants across the region.
They also seized clandestine laboratory glassware, precursor chemicals, ammunition, steroids, false identification and the equipment used to manufacture false identification.
Those arrested have been charged with multiple offences including trafficking firearms, trafficking a commercial quantity of drugs (methylamphetamine), possessing a firearm and possessing drugs.
