Woolworths has expanded its contactless Drive Thru service in Victoria to almost 30 new stores, including three in Brimbank, to help make social distancing easier for customers when picking up their online orders.

Now available at Caroline Springs, St Albans and Taylors Lakes stores, Woolworths’ Drive Thru allows customers to order groceries online and have personal shoppers pick it for them in-store.

Customers simply confirm when they’ve arrived in the car park via the Woolworths app or SMS link to notify the store team who will then pack the order directly in the boot contactless and with no additional charge.

Demand for Pick up has grown by more than 50 per cent in Victoria since the second coronavirus lockdown came into effect at the start of July.

Woolworths Victoria general manager Andrew Hall said the needs of the customers are changing in the pandemic, and so is the way Woolworths serve them.

“Drive Thru offers a fast, convenient and contactless way to pick up your grocery shop while maintaining social distance,“ he said.

“We have rostered dedicated personal shoppers to support the service and deliver groceries directly to the boot.

“It’s a great option for those with mobility challenges and anyone looking to limit their outings due to COVID-19.“

All Drive Thru orders are placed through Woolworths.com.au with a minimum value of $30.

Orders placed before 1pm can be picked up in a nominated one-hour window between 4-7pm the same day.

Orders placed after 1pm can be picked up any time the next day.
