Dressing for success

A local bridesmaids dress business is getting ready to showcase its wares on the national stage.

The Bridesmaids Dressing Room in Cairnlea was recently crowned Best Bridesmaid Gown Business at the Victorian Australian Bridal Industry Awards (ABIA) for the fifth straight year, giving it the chance to compete in the national awards on the Gold Coast in June.

The business has only been specialising in bridesmaids dresses for six years and director Aneta Pazeski is still amazed at their run of success.

“The first year I didn’t even know about the awards, and then the first year we entered it we won and we’ve won consecutively ever since,” Ms Pazeski said.

“Each win for us just reinforces our consistency of customer service, and our products, and that we go above and beyond.”

To compete in the National ABIA Awards a business has to win in their category four years in a row, but this will mark the first time that Ms Pazeski will be challenging for a national crown.

“Since ABIA has been running there’s been 33,000 businesses compete, but only one per cent of those have won five years in a row. So that’s a huge thrill to achieve that,” she said.
