Some of the world’s best-loved animation characters will be up in lights at Watergardens Town Centre during the school holidays.

The “Lights by DreamWorks – The Experience” is a large-scale lantern installation that will include such popular figures as Kung Fu Panda, Shrek and Puss in Boots.

Centre manager Joe Galea said he was delighted Watergardens would be the first centre in Australia to feature the “Lights by DreamWorks – The Experience”.

“We haven’t hosted an installation quite like this before,” he said.

“We believe it will be very popular with our community, particularly as these cartoon characters are so loved by both young and
old.”

Suitable for all ages to enjoy free of charge, the experience lanterns promise to provide a visually striking and memorable family activity.

“It’s going to be a fantastic experience for our Watergardens community, perfect for families who are looking to have fun and create joyous moments together,” Mr Galea said.

Children will be able to create their own lanterns in the shape of their favourite DreamWorks characters, participate in art workshops and get the opportunity to meet and take photos with the famous characters.

The experience will run until Sunday, October 8.
