Brimbank’s libraries may be closed to the public, but that doesn’t mean you can’t continue borrowing a good read.
In response to the closure of libraries due to the coronavirus pandemic, Brimbank Libraries is offering a home delivery service to all Brimbank residents who are Brimbank Libraries members.
Books, magazines and DVDs are delivered direct to members’ home – while maintaining safe social distancing practices.
The free service has proved to be popular.
Since the service started on April 1 there have been a total of 7678 deliveries made throughout Brimbank.
Brimbank students are also able to access study help online and on-demand through Studiosity, a new service available at Brimbank Libraries.
Mayor Georgina Papafotiou said she hoped the service would ease strain on families.
“Studiosity allows students from years 3-12 and first year tertiary to access 24/7 online study help from a network of highly qualified ‘subject specialists’. It’s on-demand, one-to-one assistance, personalised for a student’s specific problem or question,” she said.
“The service will provide some relief to families struggling to help their children study while at home, and also help university students who are craving personalised assistance with their coursework.”
