Derrimut service station robbed at gun-point

A man wearing a bandana that covered his face threatened a Derrimut service station attendant with a gun last night and made off with a sum of cash.

Police are attempting to track down the offender who held up Coles Express Laverton North, on the corner of Fitzgerald and Boundary roads, about 9pm.

After making demands for cash, the man fled the service station in a blue Ford Territory, according to a police statement.

No one was injured in the incident.

The offender has been described as Caucasian, about 175 centimetres tall, and of a solid build.

A Coles spokeswoman said the company did not want to comment while a police investigation was underway.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
