Derrimut house fire to be investigated

A fire that tore through a Derrimut townhouse on Tuesday morning is being investigated by the State Fire Investigation Unit.

Firefighters arrived at the Windsor Boulevard property at 10.07am, July 1 to find a double storey townhouse with an adjoining townhouse well engulfed in flames.

Crews conducted an external attack on the property, knocking the fire down and containing it to the ground floor.

The fire started on the ground floor of the home, and the scene was under control at 10.23am.

All occupants of the home were accounted for, with one treated by paramedics.
