A Deer Park man in possession of about $2 million in cash when he was intercepted near the South Australian border is expected to face a magistrates court today.
Police intercepted the 41-year-old on the Stuart Highway in Merbein South about 6.15am Thursday.
Police say a search of the man’s semi-trailer truck revealed more than $2 million in cash and a small amount of drugs.
The man has been charged with dealing with proceeds of crime and possessing a drug of dependence.
A police spokeswoman said the driver also had an outstanding warrant.
He has been remanded to appear in the Mildura Magistrates Court later today.
