Police are appealing for public assistance to identify a man who used a credit card, which was stolen during a Point Cook burglary.

Police said that a wallet containing the credit card was stolen during a burglary from a Point Cook house, between January 5 and 6.

The credit card has since been used at a number of service stations and businesses in South Melbourne, Port Melbourne, Melbourne, Brooklyn, St Albans and Keilor.

Investigators have released two images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
