Credit card stolen

Police are appealing for assistance to identify a person who used a stolen credit card in Melbourne’s north-west last month.

Police have been told a wallet containing a credit card was stolen from a car in Strathmore in the early hours of February. 14.

The victim’s credit card was used to purchase gift cards later that morning at a number of service stations and supermarkets in Taylors Lakes, Watergardens, Delahey, Brimbank, Deer Park, Keilor Downs and St Albans.

It is believed the person made more than 40 transactions valued at $2000. Police have released an image of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
