Do you enjoy fixing things or have skills in mending clothing and textiles? Kororoit Neighbourhood House is looking for volunteer repairers for the newly launched Repair Café in Brimbank. Events happen once a month and are an opportunity to meet others in the community and share your skills while helping fix broken household items.

Be Bold Blakout Art Exhibition
Brimbank council has partnered with Aunty Jean Mason and Jinkigi Consultancy to engage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Artists and Youth that work and live in the Brimbank area. The exhibition is free and will run from June 30 to September 6 at the Brimbank Community and Civic Centre. The official opening NAIDOC event will be held on Wednesday, July 5.

Cultural Identity Celebration
Brimbank council is inviting locals to celebrate the Independence Day of Burundi. There will be time to learn about the history of Burundi, enjoy traditional performances, and dance with Burundian Drums. The celebration will take place on July 1 at Glengala Hall from 2-5.30pm.

Traditional Aboriginal Games Session
Brimbank locals are invited to join in on a games session, with games that were created by First Nations people to build interpersonal and communications skills, develop physical agility and grow stronger mentally, physically and socially. The free session will be held at Keilor Library on July 3, from 1.30-2.30pm.
Decorate a Wooden Indigenous Animal Shape
Locals are invited to celebrate NAIDOC Week by doing an activity that was designed by Indigenous Artist Kerri-Ann Taggart. The free event will run at the Deer Park Library on July 4, from 10.30-11.30am.
