Albion North Primary School 60th birthday
The Albion North Primary School community is celebrating the school’s 60th birthday on Friday, November 18 from 4pm to 8pm. Aussie Backyard Bird Counts in Brimbank
Join Brimbank City Council as we celebrate the Aussie Backyard Bird Count from 17 to 23 October 2021. It’s easy to take part this year! All you need to do is download the ‘Aussie Bird Count’ app on your smartphone to get counting. Counting sessions must be done in 20-minute blocks, and can be done in your own backyard or local park, as many times as you like during the week. You don’t need to be a bird expert, as the app has a built in ‘bird finder’ tool to help you. October 17 at 9am to October 23 at 7pm.

Sydenham Park twilight walking tour
Experience the varied landscapes and local flora and fauna of the park on this guided walk at twilight. Participants will learn about the re-vegetation works which have occurred over the years and plans to continue this work into the future. This event will be run as a part of Mental Health Week in partnership with Brimbank Libraries. Participants are asked to bring a sturdy pair of closed-toe shoes.

Ugandan Independence Day & Cultural Festival
Ugandan Independence Day celebrates Uganda’s independence as a free nation and a republic. The day brings together all individuals who are affiliated in any way with Uganda. Community members display their cultural heritage through traditional cuisines, cultural dress, cultural dance, cultural poetic recitations, and music. The Ugandan community aims to broaden its activities to promote wider inclusion and participation from local residents. Proudly supported by Brimbank City Council.
