The 41-year-old Sunshine North woman charged over a hit-run crash that critically injured a 13-year-old girl has had her bail extended.

Thi Nguyen appeared at the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Monday, charged with dangerous driving causing serious injury, failing to stop after a serious injury collision, failing to render assistance after a serious injury collision and failing to exchange her name and address or report a collision.

Magistrate Belinda Wallington extended Nguyen’s bail until her next court appearance, on March 5.

Nguyen surrendered herself to police last Thursday after a damaged, dark grey 1 Series BMW was seized from a house in Braybrook on Tuesday night.

The 13-year old girl remains in the Royal Children’s Hospital in a serious condition
