Keilor Central is gearing up for an influx of revving engines as a cavalcade of head-turning vehicles descend on the shopping centre.
The centre’s annual classic car show, which is held in collaboration with Melbourne Muscle Cars, will be held on Friday, February 23.
Classic car owners are invited to bring their pre-1985 cars to the shopping centre and, for a gold coin donation, display their spectacular set of wheels.
Keilor Central centre manager Nick Kyritsis said with lots of activities to complement the cars, the occasion makes for a great day out.
“The Classic Car Show is an opportunity for local families, and those visiting Keilor, to enjoy a free night out with food trucks, jumping castle and giveaways,” he said.
Every dollar raised at the event will be donated to Beacon Foundation, a charity that supports young people to successfully transition from education to meaningful employment.
Mr Kyritsis said the partnership is a positive way to support the area’s youth, who make up a large portion of the shopping centre’s patronage.
“Keilor Central is a hub for our community and we’re thrilled to partner with Beacon Foundation for this fundraiser, and support the work to engage disadvantaged youth in our local area,” he said.
The event will run from 6pm to 9pm near the Aldi carpark, however with limited space for cars, attendance will be on a first come, first serve basis. Details: www.keilorcentral.com.au
