The Sunshine Salvos are looking forward to celebrating Christmas with and among the community this season, following social distancing protocals the past few years.
They have a range of things planned for over the next few weeks and are are encouraging volunteers to help out in any way they can.
Corps officer, Colin Reynolds said: “We welcome everyone to come along to our annual Christmas community carol on Sunday, December 11″.
“The event starts at 3pm and you can enjoy the the community carols and music from our Sunshine Community Brass Band. Following the carol service, there will also be heaps of food, including a free sausage sizzle and drinks, so stay with us and share some fun over a generous community dinner. There will also be activities for kids and lots of fun for all. “Don’t miss out on celebrating with us the spirit of Christmas at Sunshine Salvos!
“This weekend we will also be at Sunshine Marketplace doing some Christmas gift wrapping. Our Christmas Day community lunch is also back this year. From noon on December, 25 people are welcome to come along for a free christmas lunch.
“We are really happy that we can return to doing these things in person this year, things that we used to do pre covid out and among the community, Particularly around Christmas time.”
The community carol event will be taking place at Devonshire Road.
