Celebrate national tree day out in nature

Get ready to roll your sleeves up for a morning out in nature!

Friends of Kororoit Creek and Brimbank council will host an event for National Tree Day this Sunday where locals can help create a new habitat along Kororoit Creek.

Attendees will work together to replace a large patch of weedy grass with beautiful native grasses, which will allow wildlife to move up and down more safely along the creek.

There will also be opportunities for locals to learn about the different flora and fauna in the area.

Light refreshments and activities for kids will also be on offer as part of the event, which will take place on July 27 at Buckingham Reserve in Sunshine West.
