Catwalk celebration for BreastWest

It’s the perfect formula of footy, fashion and fun. The annual BreastWest Fashion Gala at the Moonee Valley Racing Club next month will feature 12 Western Health breast cancer survivors, accompanied by Western Bulldogs AFL players, on the catwalk to showcase the latest designer creations.

The August 13 cocktail night will raise funds for BreastWest, which supports women in the west who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.

Acclaimed singer Marina Prior will perform at the annual gala.

Western Health spokeswoman Shannon Shepherd said the cocktail night was a great chance to frock up and raise money for an important health effort.

“It’s a wonderful night,” Ms Shepherd said. “These ladies – who have been to hell and back after being diagnosed with breast cancer – receive a full makeover and get to feel fabulous for a night, modelling some lovely clothing in front of a few hundred people.”

To support the fundraising initiative, call the Western Health Foundation on 1300 079 599 to book a place.
