Old school charm is coming to Overnewton Castle in Keilor.
On July 22 the castle will host a charm school, afternoon tea and manners master class and a Hollywood glamour workshop.
Castle general manager Emma Stott said it was a day to revive something that often gets lost in modern life.
“I think sometimes traditional etiquette and manners get lost in the modern world, people get used to talking online instead of face-to-face,” Ms Stott said.
“I think manners and making someone feel special is important.
“A lot of young ladies haven’t been taught etiquette, and I think there is a place for ladies to be ladies and still have their independence.”
The morning charm school – aimed at girls aged eight to 14 – will mesh traditional etiquette with modern life to help young women finding their way in the world.
The other two events are perfect for a mother and daughter to spend time together, Ms Stott said. They will showcase a history, style and elegance that was timeless, as well as giving some handy hints.
