Calling all car buffs

The first ever Clarke Street Classic Car Show will be rolling into Sunshine on Sunday, July 9.

Car buffs are invited to get up close to an impressive collection of over 60 historic, modern and classic cars.

The free, family friendly day will take place in the heart of Sunshine at the Withers Street car park from 11am-3pm.

Classic cars will line the carpark, including the 1985 DeLorean Movie prop car as an exact replica of the vehicle from the movie ‘Back to the Future.’

Other cars that will be on show include a1987 Holden VL extensively modified by Rajab Racing, a 2009 Lamborghini Murcielago, a 2008 Holden VE show car which has won numerous awards at Summernats, a 1983 Holden VH commodore restored, and a 1987 Holden VL show car.

The day includes entertainment, activities and an outdoor lounge area. Locals can meet members from the Road Kings Motorcycle and Car Club, and enjoy the array of delicious and diverse food choices from across Sunshine.

Brimbank mayor Bruce Lancashire welcomes everyone to come along to this no charge, all-inclusive event.

“We hope this event will attract more visitors around Clarke Street to enjoy its great food and retail options, as well as getting up close to some impressive cars,” he said.
