Active Brimbank sports lovers with intellectual disabilities are knocking down barriers as the new Football Integration Development Association season approaches this April.
The St Albans FIDA Saints’ team held a pre-season come-and-try training and registration day on December 9 at Kings Park Reserve, and is on the lookout for new male and female players aged between 14 and 40.
Players over the age of 40 need a medical certificate to play. The club, which started up last year, is an initiative of junior co-ordinator Nick Brown and coach Ian McKenzie, also the St Albans Cricket Club president.
