St Albans robbery

On Saturday, July 16, 2016 about 9.25pm a robbery was committed in Power Street, St Albans.

During the robbery a handbag was stolen by a male described as dark skinned, about 180cm tall with a chubby build. The offender is believed to have fled the scene in a white Mazda 3 sedan.

Credit cards owned by the victim were used a short time after the robbery.

Investigators want to identify a female depicted in the above image who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

At the Sunshine Magistrates Court on February 19, 2016, a warrant was issued for the arrest of Dhal Atar for contravening a community corrections order.

On March 8, 2016, ATAR failed to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates Court where he was due to answer charges including possession of drugs of dependence, state false name and address and unlicensed driving.

A further warrant to arrest was issued on this date. Police are seeking information as to the whereabouts of Atar.
