Children will be walking, scooting and riding to school this October as Brimbank City Council works with local primary schools to organise Walk to School activities.
Funded by VicHealth, the activities are part of a long-term plan to encourage Victorian students to live happier, healthier lives.
The initiative not only get kids active; the annual Walk to School Month also reduces congestion on the roads and creates chances to interact with the neighbourhood.
Throughout October, parents are able to record all their children’s walks using classroom calendars or the free Walk to School app.
