Brimbank council was recognised at the 2021 Victorian Tennis Awards this week.
The council shared the Supporting Tennis – Local Government Award with the Yarriambiack council.
Tennis Victoria acting chief executive Adam Crameri said: “Congratulations to all finalists and to the winners of the 2021 Victorian Tennis Awards.
“We had incredible nominations put forth by the Victorian tennis community and being able to recognise the finalists and winners tonight was a privilege”.
Brimbank council’s BeActive Brimbank Facebook page, it said the council was grateful to be named the joint winner.
“Making sure tennis is accessible to everyone in Brimbank is something we take great pride in,” the post said.
“Whether it is through providing accessible tennis facilities, supporting our Brimbank tennis clubs, subsidising tennis membership fees through In2Sport or providing our annual In2Tennis program
“We are excited to have Tennis back this summer!”
