Brimbank council candidates begin to emerge

At least 12 potential Brimbank council candidates will emerge later this week.

With council elections less than a year away, the council will hold two Councillor Candidate Information sessions on November 5 and 9 for possible and probable candidates.

So far, 12 residents have registered for the sessions.

Only one resident has publicly announced their intention to run so far, Ardeer mental health worker Simon Vallone.

Star Weekly is also aware of a St Albans resident who intends to run next year who has consulted the council on local safety issues in recent weeks.
