Braybrook wrecking yard destroyed by fire

More than 50 firefighters were needed to put out a fire at a Braybrook wrecking yard on Monday afternoon.

Fire Rescue Victoria crews responded to numerous calls about a fire at the Cranwell Street yard at 4.18pm.

Crews arrived to find multiple cars on fire.

The fire was brought under control within two hours however firefighters stayed on the scene overnight to monitor the situation.

SES, Ambulance Victoria and Victoria Police also attended, along with the Environment Protection Authority and Melbourne Water.
