Big celebrations for University Park PS

University Park Primary School (UPPS) is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a huge party, and everyone is welcome!

The school principal, Andrea Federico, is inviting all past and present staff, students, families and school community members to join in the fun on Friday, 21st October from 3.30 pm – 7.30pm. Take a trip down memory lane with past community members, reconnect with classmates, reunite with past teachers and view the many artefacts on display.

Wander through the corridors to see how the school has changed over the decades, from its beginnings as St Albans Primary School (SASPS), through to the latest developments in curriculum, learning and technology, along with brand-new refurbishments.

Displays will include past photos, memorabilia, student work and a collage of the past 50 years of learning created by the current staff at UPPS.

Special guests will officially open the event at 4pm and will recognise the contribution that the school has made to the St Albans community. An early prize draw will kick off the fun!

As well as reliving past moments, you can browse the book fair, enter the draw for lucky door prizes, enjoy children’s entertainment, and purchase snacks and refreshments from food trucks.

Enjoy jumping castles, an animal farm, games, laughs, community and nostalgia. There will be special Taekwondo, AFL and tennis demonstrations, as well as face painting and a visit from the proactive policing unit.

Don’t miss out on this special event. Come along to University Park Primary School, in Lister Street, St Albans and be transported back in time for an afternoon filled with fun!
