Baby formula burglary arrests

Police have arrested and charged five people following a series of burglaries in which baby formula was stolen, from locations across Melbourne.

It is alleged more than 40 burglaries targeting baby formula occurred in Springvale, Clayton, Bundoora, Point Cook and Werribee between June 19 and July 14.

Four men and a woman, all from St Albans, have been charged.

A 24-year-old man has been charged and remanded with bail and burglary offences.

A 31-year-old man has been charged and remanded with more than 20 burglary offences

They will both appear at the Sunshine Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

A 25-year-old woman has been charged and bailed with two counts of burglary.

A 41-year-old man has been charged and bailed with burglary and theft.

They will both appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on November 11.

In addition, a 35-year-old man has been charged and bailed with burglary and theft.

He will appear at the Melbourne Magistrates Court on October 21.

The investigation remains ongoing.
