Fashion awards all stitched up

Hundreds of colourful outfits were paraded down the catwalk at the Fashion Awards Australia, held at the Encore Event Centre in Hoppers Crossing, on Friday.

The annual awards, of which Wyndham councillor Heather Marcus is the director and founder, featured 285 entries this year.

The competition aims to recognise talented school and TAFE students and new and emerging fashion designers.

Out of several awards handed out on the night, St Albans Secondary College received the John Claringbold Memorial School Cup, which is presented to the school which amasses the most points during the competition.
