Assault in Derrimut leaves man in a serious condition

Police are investigating an assault in Derrimut which took place on Tuesday, July 15 and resulted in a 26-year old man being taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A maroon Hyundai SUV arrived at a car park on Foleys Road about 9.20am.

It is understood some of the male occupants got out of the vehicle, approached a man and kicked and punched him multiple times.

The man was treated for head injuries and transported to Footscray Hospital in a serious condition.

The offenders fled in the Hyundai, heading west on Foleys Road.
