Artist finds his place

An overwhelmingly positive reception to his work has left St Albans artist Tadros Hanna excited and elated.

Hanna recently had two of his creations featured alongside a number of other artists at the My Country Colours exhibition at Victoria’s Parliament House.

From Fell to Hell was from my first solo art exhibition, Awakening My Vision, which was held in St Albans last year,” Hanna said. “But my second piece is something very different for me.

“It was created specially for this art exhibition and I’ve called it Faces and Places.

“It’s about the visual memories of places which are always related to the people we meet in our life journey.

“It’s colourful because people are the value and the soul of any place.”

St Albans MP Natalie Suleyman attended the event and praised Hanna’s work on her social media pages.

“When I saw Natalie Suleyman had posted my work online, it made me fly,” Hanna said.

“Seeing the community acknowledge and engage with art, whether it’s my own work or somebody else’s, makes me happy.”

Hanna hopes more people from Brimbank will join him in the arts sphere.

“I have a dream for Brimbank and the west to become a place for the arts – a place where all arts activities are free,” he said.
