Caroline Springs RSL on parade

War veterans, their families and friends will be out in force for Caroline Springs RSL’s second ever Anzac Day march on Sunday.

About 100 people are expected to attend the march which will start at the police station in College Street at 10.30am and make its way to the memorial in The Parade.

“We had our first ever march last year; it was an idea from our vice president Bob Matthewman.

We’re expecting a bigger crowd this time,” president Peter Burquest said.

“It’s open to anybody, whether they served or their parents or grandparents served, they can wear their medals.”

Caroline Springs RSL opened its doors on February 24 last year.
