Americana in Australia

Out On The Weekend, the greatest one-day celebration of alt-country and Americana music in Australia, kicks off a new decade of good times on Saturday, October 11 at Seaworks in Williamstown.

Leading the charge is Nashville outlaw Nikki Lane & Her Band, bringing grit, glamour and rhinestone swagger to the Seaworks’ stage for the first time in 11 years.

Joined by first time visitor, Texan troubadour Vincent Neil Emerson and his band, and groove-heavy road dogs Cordovas.

Also confirmed for the 2025 line-up: local cosmic cowboys Lost Ragas, rising Californian folk songbirds Sylvie, Irish-American pickers and clawhammers Dug touring Oz for the first time, the down-home and dirty charm of husband-and-wife team Laid Back Country Picker, and Canadian folk duo Kacy & Clayton.

Homegrown favourites Sskyscraper Stan & The Commision Flats, Ella Hooper, Loretta Miler Band and Midnight Chicken add to the local flavour alongside the Henry Wagons & The Tennessee Studs performing the good n gritty Cash: A Journey Through The American Recordings.

Make your way to the Pirate’s Tavern Honky Tonk for sets by James Ellis & The Jealous Guys and J.Taylor Bell & The Ding Dongs along with two step lessons.

With its trademark mix of excellent live music, hand selected booze, fine food, and feel-good vibes, Out On The Weekend is the place to be for lovers of Americana, twang, and good ol’ country and western for a day of celebration, old friends, musical discovery and looking good down by the water.
