Alleged Taylors Hill shooter turns himself in

Homicide Squad detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting of a man in Taylors Hill on Sunday night.

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting of a man in Taylors Hill on Sunday night.

Emergency services were called to Vaucluse Boulevard about 11.30pm on Sunday, May 7 and located a man in a black BMW sedan with critical injuries.

Ambulance crews treated the man at the scene but were unable to save him. He has since been identified as a 31-year-old Craigieburn man.

A 42-year-old Caroline Springs man, believed to be the person who allegedly shot the victim, handed himself into police on the morning of Tuesday, May 9.

He was interviewed by police and has since been released pending further enquiries.

Police say detectives received a significant amount of information and are confident as to the identities of the other two men who were present at the scene of the incident.

The search for those two men remains ongoing and police are keen to speak to the pair.

Police remain confident this was not a random attack and the parties involved are known to each other.

Police are also keen to speak to anyone who was in the area around Vaucluse Boulevard, Grange Terrace and Johnston Way between 11pm and midnight on Sunday.
