Aurora Kurth will take to the stage this month in one of the leading roles in variety and vaudeville show The Carnival of Lost Souls.
The Albion resident will play the fortune teller and a central role in a love triangle that dominates the show’s narrative.
She said the performance is about an old-school style travelling circus that features elements of cabaret, illusion, acrobatics and circus. “And it’s all drawn together under this rich, gothic palette,” she said.
The Carnival of Lost Souls is set in the 19th century and is performed in the Melba Spiegeltent.
It is making its global debut in Melbourne before moving on to travel the international festival circuit.
It will run on November 11 and 12 at Melba Spiegeltent, 35 Johnson Street, Collingwood.
