Professional wrestling will return to Albion next month to crown the King of the Cage.

Callen Butcher, who will headline the show’s main event, said it was the biggest event on New Age Wrestling’s calendar.

“Every bout is contested in a cage,” he said.

“It’s been our main show since inception and there’s always a bit that goes into it.”

Butcher said the card was full of exciting bouts.

“We’ve got a five by five main event, where wrestlers keep entering the ring, and a triple threat match for the women’s title, which features three of the best female wrestlers in the country,” he said.

King of the Cage will be held at 27 Talmage Street, Albion, on July 6. Doors open at 6.30pm.

“We’re hoping that with this being our biggest show of the year, that we’ll sell every seat in the house,” Butcher said.

“This is the sort of event that will show people that we belong in the conversation when it comes to professional wrestling in Melbourne.”

New Age Wrestling was founded in 2004.

It produces 12 shows a year and boasts a roster of established stars and a host of up and coming grapplers.
