Pupils at Albion North Primary School got a 360-degree view of the world during Cultural Diversity Week.

With children from more than 30 nations enrolled, the school is a proud supporter of the week-long celebration each year.

Last Tuesday, pupils dressed in the traditional costumes and colours of their homelands and got in sync with traditional dances from around the globe.

Teacher Leanne Dumaresq said the pupils had been busy finding out about the different cultures represented in their classrooms.

“It’s wonderful to see children who were born here or who have come to Australia under so many different circumstances, appreciating each other’s cultural differences and treating each other with respect and acceptance,” she said.

“Many of the children came to school proudly wearing their culture’s traditional clothing.”
