Brimbank Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following a burglary in Taylors Lakes last week.
Police believe two men kicked open the front door of a Salamander Drive home just before 1.30pm on Friday, May 18.
The two burglars had been dropped off by a third offender, driving a grey Audi Q7 four-wheel drive believed to have false number plates.
The burglars stole a jewellery box containing a large amount of jewellery and fled the house after an alarm was activated.
The driver of the Audi is described as being 175cms tall, with a skinny build and brown hair.
Police have released a computer-generated image of the driver and are appealing to anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
