Finals fever is in the air with 15 Aussie Rules Football teams set to play the annual Reclink Victorian Football League Grand Final series.

The matches will take place at the home of suburban football, ETU Stadium, Port Melbourne between Tuesday, August 29 and Thursday, August 31.

Across the three days, players of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, have the opportunity to come together and play in a grand final match to celebrate the end of the football season.

To start the series, the Wynbay Tigers take on the Cohealth Kangaroos at 10.30am on Tuesday, August 29.

This will be followed by Frankston Dolphins’ v Maryborough Ravens. Day one will conclude with a historic debut game for Port Melbourne Football Club’s very own Reclink team who will go head-to- head with Bendigo Gold.

Day two sees the Cardinia Tigers take on the Sunbury Phoenix and the Reclink All Stars take on Odyssey House before the Collingwood Magpies and Geelong Cats round out the afternoon.

Day three’s two games will see the Ballarat Bushrangers clash with the Salvo Hawks, and the long-distance rivals of the Morwell Panthers and Casey Cobras taking centre stage to finish off.

All three days will have free entry, a BBQ lunch, a live broadcast and appearances from a range of past and present AFL personalities.

These include Majak Daw, Michael Barlow, Nick Larkey, Dermott Brereton, Matthew Lloyd and ‘Smokey’ Dawson on commentary.

Having entered its third decade of existence, 350 players participate in the league each round in conjunction with Reclink Australia’s member agencies.
