Five people have been arrested and charged following police raids in Albanvale this morning.
Brimbank Crime Investigation Unit detectives executed drug warrants at three properties on Guest Avenue about 7am.
Weapons, including knives and a firearm, and drugs, including cannabis and ecstasy tablets, were seized.
Three men and two women, all from Albanvale were arrested.
A 46-year-old man has been charged with possess firearm and a 54-year-old woman has been charged with traffick a drug of dependence.
They have both been bailed to appear at the Sunshine Magistrates’ Court on June 12.
Police also charged a 44-year-old man with traffick a drug of dependence, weapons and explosive offences.
A 54-year-old woman was charged with traffick a drug of dependence and a 49-year-old man has been charged with possess a drug of dependence.
All three are expected to appear at Sunshine Magistrates’ Court later today.
