Sunshine: Ballarat Road grass fire not deemed suspicious | Photos

UPDATE: The grass fire that burned in Sunshine along Ballarat Road on Monday is not believed to be suspicious, according to Metropolitan Fire Brigade spokesman Bruce Weaver.

The fire was put out at 3.55pm, and eight fire trucks attended.

Local worker James Chapman said the fire started about 2.45pm near the back of the ARC Factory along Ballarat Road.

When Star Weekly attended, the fire had spread past Hulett Street and plumes of smoke were visible from the Western Ring Road.
