LATEST: Police have placed a 17-year-old boy in a correctional facility following an alleged sexual assault in Altona on Wednesday.
Detectives are no longer seeking to speak to anybody else in relation to the Altona attack.
The boy is in the correctional facility in relation to an outstanding warrant.
Sexual Crime Squad detectives and the SES are conducting a line search for evidence at Cherry Lake on Friday afternoon.
The teen is expected to be charged at a later date.
