Brimbank: SES issues strong wind warning, rain

Brimbank residents can expect wind gusts of up to 110km/h on Tuesday.

Brimbank SES’s Brad Dalgleish said while there had only been two incidents relating to wild weather over the past 24 hours, worse was to come.

“We’ve had three jobs, two due to falling trees with one falling on a car in Delahey, and somebody got their feet stuck in a bike,” he said.

“There will be significant wind coming, it will be a lot worse tomorrow.

“There should be average wind speeds of around 60 km/h in metropolitan Melbourne but wind gusts of up to 110km/h.

“We’re also expecting up to 100ml of rain between now and Friday. It could be an interesting week.”
