Catholic Regional College students got to indulge their sweet tooth recently when the Sydenham campus hosted its fourth annual custard tart bake-off.
Almost 60 students across years 10 to 12 put their hand ups for the challenge.
They were given two weeks to source their own recipes, create the tart from scratch and serve up the dish to a panel of four judges, who scored each tart based on its appearance, texture and taste.
Cheryl Coulas took out first place, followed by Nelson Quntas and Mary Bui.
