UPDATE: A man has been arrested following a pursuit in Melton around 9am this morning.
Police tried to intercept a stolen car on Exford Road.
Police pursued the car before stopping the chase in Landry Court, Burnside.
The car was found by police at McDee Close in Burnside.
The CFA and MFB are on scene after what is believed to be hazardous materials were found in the car.
The road is blocked and local residents have been urged to stay inside.
