Delahey hoon’s car impounded after speeding on Western Ring Road

A 21-year-old Delahey man has lost his vehicle for 30 days after being caught speeding in Sunshine West overnight.

Brimbank Highway Patrol allegedly detected the P Plater driving a 1998 Subaru WRX at 176km/h in a 100km/h zone on Western Ring Road about 10.45pm. 

Police intercepted the vehicle and it was immediately impounded under the hoon legislation.

The man is expected to be charged on summons with various traffic related offences.
